Bowmanville Physiotherapist Rachel Wilson

Providing physiotherapy services to Clarington, Bowmanville, Courtice, Newcastle and the Durham Region

 

Rachel graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Neuroscience. After injuries during sports, she was introduced to physiotherapy and discovered her interest in the field as a career. She completed her Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto and her love of studying human mechanics lead her to many continuing education courses in manual therapy and functional movement. She strives to help people remain active and doing the things that they love by finding solutions to their pain and movement dysfunction in one on one physiotherapy sessions. When she is not in clinic, Rachel can usually be found relaxing by the water, walking the family dog or chasing around two very active little boys.

Rachel has a special interest in treating shoulder pain, shoulder injuries and providing rehab exercises for shoulders.

She is currently training for her pelvic health therapist certification.

Other courses Rachel has taken include levels 1-3 of the Orthopaedic Division of the Physiotherapy Association. She is also certified in Graston Technique and Functional Movement Screening allowing her to both assess and treat movement in the athletic population.
