Infant Craniosacral Therapy

Infant Craniosacral Therapy

Infant craniosacral therapy uses very light touch to assess and release tension within the craniosacral system, which includes the skull, spine, sacrum, and surrounding connective tissues.

This work focuses on the nervous system and deeper tension patterns that may develop during pregnancy, birth, or early positioning.

It can help support babies experiencing:

  • Feeding or latch difficulties

  • Birth-related tension

  • Reflux or colic symptoms

  • Torticollis or head preference

  • Difficulty settling or regulating

The work is slow, subtle, and guided by the baby’s body as restrictions begin to release.

How Infant CST and Infant Massage Therapy work together:

Infant Craniosacral and Massage Therapy are gentle forms of infant bodywork designed to support your baby’s comfort, development, and nervous system regulation.

Craniosacral therapy for babies uses light, precise touch to assess and release tension within the craniosacral system — the head, spine, sacrum, and surrounding connective tissues. This helps address deeper tension patterns that may develop during pregnancy, birth, or early positioning and can affect feeding, digestion, and movement.

Infant massage therapy focuses more directly on the muscles and fascia to improve mobility, reduce muscular tightness, and support balanced movement patterns as your baby grows. Together, these therapies can help babies experiencing feeding or latch difficulties, body tension, torticollis, reflux or colic symptoms, digestive discomfort, and challenges with settling or sleep. Treatments are always gentle and guided by your baby’s cues, supporting a more comfortable, regulated, and balanced body for healthy development.

Our Registered Massage Therapist Kristen Smith offers 1:1 Infant Craniosacral Therapy and 1:1 and Small Group Workshops for Infant Massage Therapy.
