Angel-Lina D’Amico RMT: Registered Massage Therapist, Trained in Lymphatic Drainage

1. What made you want to be an RMT?

I’ve always loved anatomy and learning about the human body, so becoming an RMT felt like the perfect way to combine that passion with my love for helping people feel their best.

2. What is something you learned about the human body that fascinates you?

Referred pain is SO fascinating to me! Sometimes, the area that’s causing you pain isn’t actually where the problem starts. For example, tension in your traps can reproduce that familiar headache pain into your temples, or tightness in your deep hip flexor, psoas, can contribute to low back pain. The body is so interconnected, and I love helping people understand that!

3. Do you have any major goals for yourself for 2027?

Professionally, I’m hoping to attend the Lymphatic Academy of Toronto to continue expanding my knowledge and skills in lymphatic therapy. Personally, I’ve recently started working with a fitness coach to challenge myself both mentally and physically. My goal for 2027 is to become stronger, build confidence, and continue showing up for myself in all areas of life!

4. What do you like to do when you’re not working?

You’ll usually find me at the gym, out on a walk, or wandering around the mall (which is probably your sign to tell me to go home 😂). I love staying active and finding little ways to prioritize my own health and wellness!

5. Why did you choose to pursue continuing education in niche fields of RMT?

I chose to pursue continuing education because I love learning new skills and discovering different ways to help my clients. Exploring niche areas of massage therapy allows me to create more individualized treatment plans, expand my knowledge, and keep my career exciting. There’s always something new to learn about the human body, and I never want to stop growing as a therapist!
